About Building Community: Terry & Barb Mullen

Group Overview: Building Community is designed to establish friendships, foster an environment of fellowship, and study the power of God’s word together.
Leader Bio(s): Barb and Terry Mullen met at Vacation Bible School (VBS) in 1996. Terry was home on furlough while teaching at a school for missionary children in Kenya, Africa. Barb, a single mom of three, volunteered as the VBS photographer. They were married 14 months after communicating via snail mail while Terry fulfilled his last year of teaching in Africa. Terry is a retired elementary school teacher. Barb is a retired territory sales manager. Their son, Noah, lives at home. He is an adult with Down syndrome and a joyful part of their daily lives. They have seven grandchildren ranging from 9 to 17 years of age. Barb and Terry have led home groups and look forward to God’s guidance in leading a community of believers at their home in Temple, TX. Teenagers are welcome.
