About 13:11 Men: James Chambers
Study Content: “Play the Man” by Mark Batterson
Group Overview: Our mission is to build connections, and relationships, through leading Men to be better equipped to lead themselves, their families, and others to Jesus Christ while enjoying the bonds of brotherhood through God’s creation. This group is a duplicate of The Outdoor Men’s Ministry A, it just meets on a different night of the week. All men involved will connect through fellowship, bible studies, and activities in the outdoors like fishing, hunting, hiking, and shooting.
Leader Bio(s): James Chambers (Age 44) gave his life to Christ in 1993 at an Outdoor Youth Camp. He rededicated his life to Christ at CRC alongside his wife, Celina, in 2022. He and his wife have 5 children between the two of them: Ethan, Tyler, Noah, Kaci, and Keller. James grew up in the outdoors where he learned to hunt, camp, and fish with his Father, brother, and Uncles. He is an avid outdoorsman who also enjoys snow skiing, mountain climbing, backpacking, archery, biking, and kayaking. From a young age, James knew there was a Creator and all the beauty of Nature captures the Creator’s heart. James has a degree in Natural Resources Management from Abilene Christian University and served as a Park Ranger with the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) for over 10 years. James still works for USACE but is now involved in Civil Construction Projects where he serves as a Senior Project Manager. James loves to serve others and has been involved in multiple servant roles at previous churches including leading a youth program, leading small groups, and leading men’s groups.
James serves on the CRC Response Team where he can be seen most Sundays in the Foyer wearing his cowboy hat! James said “To serve other Men in our Outdoor Ministry is a calling God has prepared me for my whole life! I could not think of a better use of the talents the Father has given me and it is a joy and blessing to build this amazing ministry alongside Daron Jetton and Bobby Campbell.
